Soul Winning Ministry

The life of the church is telling others about Christ. Our soul winning ministry meets at 7:00 PM on Thursday and we go out and distribute gospel tracts, invite people to church and most important, tell people about Jesus.

Bus Ministry

A ministry to children and adults who do not have transportation to come to church. Our desire is to see those who ride our bus, come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and to see their lives changed by God.

Special Music Ministry

A vital part of the worship of God is to lift our voices in song. We have many people that bless us with special music throughout the months.

Nursery Ministry

Our nursery is run by competent workers that love children. We have a safe and clean nursery where we will take care of your child under 4 so you can attend our service.

Children Ministry

Children are the future of the church. Here at Open Door we have great Sunday school teachers to teach God's truths to all ages. We also have a junior church program taught by enthusiastic teachers that bring the Bible alive. Our Wednesday night program is called Glow Kids and our children learn Godly character traits to help them in their lives; things like honesty, courage, joy, and patriotism.

Teen Ministry

The teen age years do not have to be years of rebellion and struggle. With God in their lives, our teenagers can have a close walk with Him. We believe that it is okay for Christians to smile and have fun!! We have yearly camps and conferences as well as monthly teen activities. We also encourage our teenagers to use the gifts and abilities God gave them, in the local church.

Nursing Home Ministry

Our nursing home ministry is very special to us. We have monthly services with singing and preaching, held at a local nursing home. We also do a special Christmas service and buy and wrap gifts for all the residents. We are privileged to have C.A.R.E., a ministry to nursing homes, operating out of our church and run by Pastor Aabye's father, Pastor Norman Aabye.

CD Ministry

All of our services are digitally recorded and available for purchase on CD. The cost is $3.00 per CD. The sermons can be heard on our Bible Sermons page. If you would like to order a high quality recording of any of our services, they are available by placing an order at the church or you can email soundroom@opendoor-baptist.org. There will be an extra charge of $1.00 per CD to cover shipping charges for orders made by email.
